Bruker and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany announced on August 5th the successful installation of the 15.2 Tesla ultra-high field magnetic resonance (MR) imaging system, BioSpec© 152/11. The BioSpec system enables new science at the KIT’s Institute of Microstructure Technology (IMT) under the direction of Professor Jan Korvink. Korvink’s group focuses on the development of novel MRI concepts leading to two visionary goals for the BioSpec: to increase automation of MRI scans, enabling a higher throughput; and to correlate measurements from multiple analytical techniques, increasing information content while decreasing measurement time.
