Uniqueness of the NCT Pro Challenge

Outstanding in delivering flexible and highly realistic simulation scenarios.

Team Cohesion

Gained insight into the operational capabilities of other units in order to apply their experiences to further develop our own unit.

Pre-Event Preparation

There was a review of training on explosive ordnance management and police tactical operations.

Areas of Confidence

First aid station, and the entry and search of a room suspected of containing a suspect and explosive devices.

Highlight of the Challenge

Hook and Line station: Although the team lacked specialized expertise in explosive ordnance relocation, they were able to coordinate effectively, allowing the mission to be successfully completed.

Decision-Making Under Pressure

Hazardous Materials Detection Station: Although no one in the unit had prior knowledge in Nuclear, Biological, Radiological, and Chemical (NBRC) fields, the training provided by NCT enabled a rapid understanding, allowing the mission to be successfully accomplished.

Future Training Opportunities

I would like to see greater realism incorporated into the training. The focus should be on the mission, with clearly defined rules and procedures, without interference from instructors whose approach appears to emphasize defeating the trainees—even when the trainees have already successfully completed the mission according to the initial instructions.

Such interference creates ambiguity in the orders and reduces the realism of the exercise. It may also lessen the overall effectiveness of the training and negatively impact unity within joint operational units, as well as the morale of the trainees.

I respectfully request that the training management team review this matter and take steps to ensure that future training sessions are conducted more effectively in the coming years.
